Without a doubt, much of the beauty of a landscape photograph is in the sky. But we are not always lucky enough to get a spectacular sky for our landscapes. If we have the location close to home we can return another day in better conditions, but many times we are traveling somewhere incredible and the photos do not look what they should because of an unattractive sky .

However, with Photoshop we can make our skies stand out much more. Do you want me to tell you what my technique is?

If you have made a photographic trip, surely more than once you will have felt disappointed in one of the most well-known and photographed locations of the place, because of the weather.

And it is that if you live near the place you can always return one day with better weather, but if you have traveled hundreds or thousands of kilometers on purpose to be able to get some dream photos, it makes you very angry to find an ugly day that takes away its charm to those photos.

I experienced a situation like this a few months ago when I traveled to Iceland. I had some good days, but many others were very gray, overcast or foggy. The skies of many of my photos were flat and without any grace.

So I started messing around in Photoshop until I found a way to give them the strength they needed. I also didn’t want to change them for a different sky , I just wanted to make the most of what was there, so I started playing around with various adjustments until I turned that flat sky into a much more attractive sky.

Sky Change in Photoshop (Video Tutorial)

Thanks to these adjustments you will make any dull sky become a spectacular sky. Let’s see 3 different examples:

> An example of a Gray and Overcast sky.

> An example of a misty sky, partly cloudy but with some blue.

> And one last example of a dull sunset, without force.

Example 1: Gray and Overcast Sky

The first example that we are going to see is the typical very cloudy sky that has become flat, whitish and without any force. With a few adjustments in Photoshop we are going to turn it into a much more powerful and dramatic sky.

1. Reveal the RAW:

The first thing you will have to do is develop the RAW file to your liking, in any development program.

I am going to do it in Adobe Camera Raw in order to open the photo directly in Photoshop, since later I am going to use that program to enhance the sky.

The first thing we will do is give it a flat or neutral profile to gain more information both in the shadows and in the highlights of the photograph. This way we will have as much information as possible about the clouds in the sky, to enhance them later.

Next we’ll give it a subtle touch up, lightening the shadows and correcting the color temperature to make it a bit warmer. Above all try not to lose information in the sky in this step.

Even if the photo is not to your liking in this step, do not worry, we will correct that later, now just focus on leaving the sky flat enough so that information is not lost in the highlights .

2. Select Sky:

Now that we have our RAW file developed, the next step is to open our photo in Photoshop.

The first thing we must do is duplicate the layer by clicking on it with the right mouse button and selecting the Duplicate layer option or by using the keyboard shortcut Control+J (or Command+J on Mac).

Next we are going to perfectly select the sky for our photograph. We can find many tools to do it as we have already seen in the article ” Discover What Are Selections in Photoshop and How to Use the Basics “. In this case I am going to use the Quick Selection tool  which will allow me to easily select the sky.

Once you have perfectly selected the sky of your photograph, you must create a layer mask by pressing the quick button that you will find below the layers window . So all the adjustments that we apply will only affect the sky, because otherwise we would spoil the ground.

3. Give Contrast:

The most important thing to “get chicha” out of that bland sky is to give it a lot of contrast. Don’t worry if the color is ugly or if a lot of noise starts to appear, since we will correct that later. Now just focus on making those slight reliefs of the sky stand out as much as possible .

To contrast the sky as much as possible, the easiest thing will be to go to the Filter/Filter menu of Camera Raw , since here we have collected all the necessary tools to give contrast to the photo. We are going to increase the sliders for Contrast, Clarity and Dehaze , which are the 3 key settings to make the clouds much more marked.

Lower the Shadows and Blacks sliders to darken the darkest tones further, and increase the Exposure, Highlights, and Whites sliders so the sky isn’t so dull. You can also play with the Tone Curve to further contrast the image.

4. Color Correct:

Surely with the adjustments of the previous step the sky will have acquired quite exaggerated and unreal tones . As you can see, in my photograph the sky has been contaminated with magenta in the center and cyan on the edges. In this step what we will do is desaturate the sky and give it a uniform and much more beautiful tone.

First of all we will go to the Image/Adjustments/Desaturate menu so that our sky loses those strange colors that it has gained with so much contrast.

Then we will go to the Image / Adjustments / Color Balance menu to give the sky a little tone, so that it is not so pure gray. I have given it a slight cyan tone.

5. Reduce Noise:

By contrasting our sky so much we will also have added an incredible amount of noise to it. The good thing is that precisely the clouds do not have a marked texture, so we can reduce the noise a lot without making them ugly and unreal. On the contrary, we are going to give them a very attractive smoothness .

I personally like Camera Raw’s noise reduction better than Photoshop’s original, so we’ll go to the Camera Raw Filter/Filter menu again, and go to the Detail tab .

Here, in the Noise Reduction section, turn the Luminance slider all the way up and bring back a bit of detail by increasing the Detail slider . Don’t increase it too much or you’ll re-include all the noise you’re trying to remove; turn it up just enough so the clouds don’t get too flat.

6. Evens the Ground:

We have already finished the retouching of the sky! But of course now it clashes a lot with the rest of the photograph. So, what you have to do now is correct the color of the floor. You can do this with any of the color adjustments you’ll find in the Image/Adjustments menu , but it will be much easier to use the Camera Raw Filter, since you have all those adjustments collected together here.

So, select the Background layer and go to the Camera RAW Filter/Filter menu . Here you can give your floor the adjustments you want. I’ve contrasted it a bit so it doesn’t clash so much with the sky, and I’ve increased the Whites slider to give it a little more light. Also with the Clarity slider I have given more strength to the textures. I have also increased the Intensity a bit to enhance those greens so characteristic of Iceland.

7. Make Final Adjustments:

Finally we are going to give a general color adjustment to the entire photograph to finish integrating the sky and the ground. You can do it in multiple ways: by adding some color correction adjustment such as Color Balance or Hue/Saturation or for example also from the Camera Raw Filter color adjustments.

I’ve done this by adding several Color Lookup adjustment layers , to give it a color filter that emulates the famous orange teal effect .

Discover the Photoshop Color Lookup Adjustment

Specifically, I have used 4 Color Query filters:

  • Filmstock_50 at 40% opacity
  • Foggy Night at 20% Opacity
  • Teal Orange Plus Contrast at 20% Opacity
  • Fall Colors at 30% Opacity

And ready! We already have our photo retouched. We have managed to give much more strength to that gray and bland sky, right?

Example 2: Foggy Sky

The following example is sure that you have also seen it more than once. A partly cloudy sky but with a very desaturated blue due to the mist in the environment. By enhancing the blues we will be able to give that sky a much greater strength.

We are going to use this photograph. As you can see, since there is so much fog, the shapes of the clouds are blurred and the blue of the sky is very little perceived.

1. First Steps:

As in the previous example, the first steps are going to be the same: develop the RAW with a flat profile, so that we gain details in both the shadows and the highlights, and then duplicate the layer and select the sky to be able to adjust it without affecting the rest of the photograph.

This example also helps us to see a problem that can occur when selecting the sky. Since there is so much fog , we do not have a clear line that separates the ground from the sky , so it is impossible to select it well. At the moment we are not going to worry about this, we will simply make a straight line with the selection in this area and later when we have retouched the sky we will merge it better.

In the same way as before, create a layer mask by pressing the quick button below the layers window , to have the sky separated on a separate layer and affect only him.

2. Enhance the Blue of the Sky:

Now that we have the sky in a separate layer, we are going to enhance the blue of the sky, not only so that it draws more attention but also to mark the shapes of the clouds much more, thus making that mist that is in the environment disappear.

To do this we will go to the Filter/Filter menu of Camera Raw and we will go to the HSL Settings tab . Here you will find 3 tabs: Hue, Saturation and Luminance, and sliders with the basic colors. In this case we will raise the saturation and lower the luminance of the blues and cyans, to give more strength to the sky.

Then you can add a little contrast to the sky with the tools that we have seen in the previous example (contrast, clarity and erase haze) but without going overboard, because now if strange colors appear we will not be able to desaturate the sky to fix them.

3. Evens the Ground:

Now it is the turn of the ground. Although this time the change in the sky has not been so brutal that it clashes as much as in the previous example, it will be interesting if you adjust the ground a bit to give it the tone and contrast you want. I have retouched it again with the Camera Raw Filter .

In addition, we are also going to correct the fusion between the sky and the ground that we have commented on at the beginning of the example, to integrate them correctly, since if we zoom in you will see that a straight line is noticeable right where it cuts the sky layer mask.

You simply have to paint with a thick and diffuse brush in white along this line, so that the cut is not so hard and both parts merge better.

4. Make Final Adjustments:

To finish we can give a general color correction to the entire photograph to finish integrating sky and ground. I, as before, have used several adjustment layers with the Color Lookup filters :

  • Filmstock_50 at 40% opacity
  • Foggy Night at 20% Opacity
  • Teal Orange Plus Contrast at 20% Opacity
  • Fall Colors at 30% Opacity

Much better now, right??

Example 3: Dusk Off

I wish all sunsets were spectacular, with those reds and oranges so high , but unfortunately most are not like that. Many times, even when the clouds light up, you find yourself with duller sunsets. The clouds take on a slight orange or yellowish hue, but nothing spectacular. However, with a few simple adjustments in Photoshop we can give them much more life.

Let’s use this photo as an example. As you can see, there are areas where the clouds have been slightly illuminated in a more orange tone, but it is practically not noticeable.

1. First Steps:

As we have done in the two previous examples, the first thing we must do is reveal the RAW so that we gain details in both the shadows and the highlights. I have also given it a somewhat warmer white balance , to start enhancing the sunset.

We will then duplicate the layer and select the sky to apply a layer mask to it. This way we can adjust it without affecting the rest of the photograph.

2. Boost Warm Tones:

Now we are going to enhance the orange and yellow tones, in the same way that in the previous example we enhanced the blue ones.

We’re going to go to the Filter/ Camera Raw Filter menu and go to the HSL Settings tab . Here we are going to touch the warm tone sliders in the 3 tabs:

  • In Hue we are going to make the yellow tones more orange.
  • In Saturation we are going to increase the saturation of the reds, oranges and yellows considerably.
  • In Luminance we are going to darken the yellow tones and lighten the orange tones, to make the illuminated clouds stand out more.

3. Empower the Sunset:

Do not leave the Adobe Camera Raw filter because now we are going to enhance the sunset by putting a slightly warmer Color Temperature . We’ve also shifted the Hue slightly towards magenta to make the yellows more orange.

Then we have given a little Intensity in general to all the tones.

4. Add a Little Contrast:

We are now going to contrast the sky a bit to give more presence to the clouds. We’ll stick with the Adobe Camera Raw filter and increase the Contrast , Clarity and Dehaze sliders a bit .

By contrasting the sky so much, the colors will be quite saturated, so if you think they are too strong, you can always lower the Intensity a bit to compensate.

I’ve also lowered the Highlights slider a bit to bring back the background highlights, and the Blacks slider to bring out the clouds even more.

5. Reduce Noise:

By contrasting the sky so much we have generated a lot of noise, so now it’s time to reduce it. We will continue with the Adobe Camera Raw Filter .

Go to the Detail tab and in the Noise Reduction section increase the Luminance slider to the maximum . Then increase the Detail a little to recover some texture in the clouds, but without going too far so that the noise does not appear again.

6. Evens the Ground:

We already have the sky ready, now it’s time to touch up the ground so that it doesn’t clash so much. We have given a lot of warmth to the sky and that has to go in line with the tones of the ground.

From the Camera Raw Filter I’ve lightened the ground a bit, contrasted it slightly, and given it some warmer tones.

To better integrate both areas we are going to mix them a little. To do this, double-click on the sky layer mask to bring up the Mask Properties .

Density: Lower the density a bit so that the retouch we have made to the sky slightly affects the ground. This will take on a bit of the tones and contrast of the sky and they will look more alike.

Feather: Feather the mask so the cut isn’t too harsh and the sky and ground blend smoothly. This way the passage from one part to the other will not be so abrupt and it will be better.

7. Make Final Adjustments:

You can finally give the entire photo a color consistency by adding some general color correction adjustment. As in the previous examples, I’ve used the Color Lookup filters to add a touch of color to the entire photo and finish unifying the sky and ground. This time I used the following:

And ready! We have managed to turn a dull sunset into a dreamy sunset. The difference is remarkable, isn’t it?

Now it's your turn!

You have already seen how easy it is to enhance the sky in any type of photography. With these simple adjustments you will make a photograph that initially did not attract too much attention become a magnet for looks.

When a corporation employs a third party to manage a few processes and activities, the scenario is typically referred to as outsourcing. The term “service provider” also refers to this third-party business. The service provider organizes all the resources needed to finish the job they have been given. This external recruiting is carried out for a variety of information technology-related goals, including contracting out web development work and design services. The list of industries that can benefit from outsourcing includes finance, manufacturing, human resources, and more. Outsourcing is more about maintaining the relationship, creating trust, and adhering to the service contract’s termination clause. There are a million reasons why corporations prefer to outsource their website development to web development companies. The most important ones, though, are quick service delivery, increased efficiency, and inexpensive costs. Let’s briefly review the reasons why commercial organizations hire a website design and web development specialists in light of these advantages.

Small firms frequently feel that in order to save money and keep control, they must do everything themselves. This may be the case in some instances, but the corporation can outsource a number of services without much of a negative effect. Certain services can be outsourced to save money and increase productivity in a variety of ways. The following are six categories of services that you ought to think about outsourcing if you are a small business owner or are just starting one:

1) Web & Graphic Design:

graphic design elemantsWeb design, as the name suggests, is the process of creating a website that you may use for your business. It entails designing and developing the website’s aesthetic and structure, which covers several service components.

If so, but you’re not sure how to go about it, consider outsourcing website design and development. You are not by yourself. We all experience the same problem. Therefore, we have simplified this for you in this article. All of your inquiries regarding outsourcing website design or development will be answered here.

Every business outsources, even Fortune 500 corporations like Microsoft, Google, and Facebook. If you’re not, you ought to be. No matter what business you work in, there is always more work than there is time to complete it. It also affects web design and development.

You may overcome the most difficult component of software development by outsourcing it to a foreign country: fulfilling deadlines and expectations.

While most business owners extol the virtues of outsourcing development work, some have sworn it off as a result of negative experiences. Therefore, a lot of you are left wondering whether you should outsource web design and development.

The annual rate for the internal web design team is about $90,000. However, using Indian, Pakistani & philippine web design & development outsourcing companies allowed them to significantly reduce their design & development costs. And 59% of companies think outsourcing lowers costs. According to 57% of the organizations polled, it allows them to actively concentrate on their “core business operation”! 31% of companies say that outsourcing improves the quality of their services.

Even in 2022, when most businesses are outsourcing to Asia-specific regions, they are still doing it for the same reasons: to save time, gain new insights, and even acquire high-quality websites.

IT includes web design and web development. From design to deployment, there are various stages of an IT project. As a result, managing everything by the corporation alone becomes a little overwhelming. As a result, they frequently decide to outsource a completely qualified team that could work on their project, putting aside the extra anxiety and stress.

There are several alternatives for business owners to obtain website design and development. Out of these, in-house team hiring and outsourcing web development are the most common in the IT sector. Each web development strategy has benefits and drawbacks that determine whether it is appropriate for a particular project. Let’s examine how these two models differ from one another.

To construct a website internally, a company must assemble a team of programmers, designers, quality assurance and testing specialists, project managers, and marketers. The company must set up infrastructure, pay web developers’ salaries and perks, license costs for hardware and software, and other support services.

The business only needs to choose the best outsourcing web development company, pay them a set sum, and have the team working diligently on the project with remote team recruiting under the outsourcing model. As a result, outsourcing is far less expensive than in-house development.

A fully staffed team and subject matter experts who adhere to the necessary development methods are provided by the outsourcing provider to create a website from start. Business stakeholders may monitor ongoing projects thanks to the project management system, which increases control and transparency over the development process. Thanks to technological advancements like Zoom, Skype, Slack, and others they have facilitated communication even when people are located all over the world.

2) Photo Editing & Retouching Services

Pre-production, production, and post-production are the three stages of the product picture development process used in e-commerce. Planning and getting ready for a photo session constitute pre-production, the actual photo shoot is production, and photo editing constitutes post-production. Image editing and retouching are other names for photo editing. If you decide to outsource image editing, you must send your photos to an outside retouching firm after the photography so they may be edited and then returned. A skilled outsourcing company will adhere to your style manual so they can edit your photographs consistently and maintain your look.

The term “editing” can refer to a range of tasks. Basic photo editing tasks include cropping, compressing images, setting aspect ratios and image width and height, eliminating backgrounds, generating clipping paths, aligning objects uniformly inside the image canvas, setting consistent margins, and converting to file types like jpeg and png.

Retouching is a feature of more sophisticated outside image editing services. Although there is much overlap between photo editing and photo retouching, and some people use the phrases interchangeably, in general, retouching involves manipulating the object itself within the photograph. For instance, product cleanliness, model skin retouching, correcting shadows, and wrinkle and crease elimination are all beneficial for e-commerce photographs (like pin, scuff, dirt, and lint removal).

Almost without exception, every product image will be modified. The decision of whether to outsource picture editing or handle it in-house is one that most developing companies, merchants, and photo studios must make. Traditionally, businesses, merchants, or the photography studio hired to take the e-commerce photographs have handled the photo editing internally. Most studios currently benefit from outsourced photo editing for photographers, which several companies and merchants utilizing commercial photo studios are unaware of. Simple: Outsourcing is effective. When done correctly, with a thorough review and selection process, outsourcing will not only help you save money on picture editing but will also boost the quality of your images and speed up the process of getting product images online.

In-house picture editing raises a number of difficulties that have long vexed studio operators.

The length of time it takes to edit pictures will become a bottleneck if the number of retouchers you need changes frequently and there is a lot of turnovers. The cost in missed sales and relevance when weeks or even months pass between a session and the upload of edited photographs to your website.

By outsourcing Photoshop editing to us, bottlenecks can be removed. A reliable, well-established outsourcing picture editing firm should, at the least, be able to provide the images in 24 hours or less.

No matter how many photo editors you have on staff, that’s faster than an in-house team could finish image editing. If you outsource photo editing, work on your photographs won’t stop until it’s finished due to the time-shifting nature of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), where photo editors are based all over the world and edit images nonstop.

Choosing an outside image editing service based solely on the lowest advertised pricing per image is the absolute worst decision you can make. In addition to the likelihood that low outlier bids are making promises they can’t keep, you’re failing to consider the Total Cost of Operation.

The success of a BPO, including outsourcing photo editing, should be evaluated based on your overall outlay of money. It includes management, turnaround time, workflow efficiency, reputation, and image quality in addition to the price per image.

In other words, it makes little difference if you pay 10 cents for an image if it’s terrible, arrives a week later than promised, and requires hours of phone calls and emails to fix.

An established step-by-step procedure for new clients should be provided by an outsourced picture editing business. To use the system effectively, you must both grasp how the photo editing is done and how the editing company should adapt to your needs.

Many BPO services attempt to be all things to all people, yet e-commerce, wedding, lifestyle, food, and nature photography are all extremely different from one another. For example, retouching issues for a bride and a tube of lip gloss are very different.

By Choosing our Photo Editing Services will not only save time and cost but also help to improve create user-friendly designs to increase your sales.

3) Human Resources:

Human Resource (HR)

Another intricate procedure that might be challenging for small enterprises to handle independently is human resources. It could be time to outsource this duty if you’re finding it difficult to stay on top of the constantly evolving HR legislation and regulations. If you outsource your human resources, you’ll have access to a group of experts who can assist you with anything from recruiting and onboarding new employees to handling payroll and benefits. By outsourcing HR, you’ll not only save time but also lessen the chance of making errors that could end up costing your company money. The finest aspect of HR outsourcing is that it can be tailored to meet the unique demands of your company, allowing you to only pay for the services you actually require.

4) Social Media Management:

As a business owner, you are aware of the value of social media in promoting your goods and services. However, you might not have enough time to post material, interact with customers, or keep an eye on your social media accounts. Here, outsourcing social media management can completely change the game! You’ll have more time to concentrate on managing your company’s operations when you outsource social media management to a professional. The best thing is that you may choose the amount of service you require to meet your needs in terms of price and business objectives. This is especially helpful if you have an online store because it allows you to concentrate on creating products while delegating the marketing to another party.

5) Customer Service:

Another area where outsourcing can be quite beneficial for small firms is in customer service. Businesses can save anywhere between 25% and 40% by offshore and outsourcing. Additionally, the market access and talent pool can be improved. Consider outsourcing this job if you don’t have the time or resources to deliver high-quality customer support. When you outsource customer service, you won’t ever have to be concerned about giving your consumers a bad experience because all customer contacts will be handled by someone else. You might also think about using a call center to handle all customer support issues so that you can concentrate on other aspects of your company. Most outsourcing businesses will have a group of customer care agents on staff who are accessible round-the-clock to assist your clients with their needs.

customer support

Outsourcing your customer service is a sensible and economical method to expand your business and keep your consumers happy. Trusting an outsourcing company with the most valuable aspect of your organization—your customers—might seem a little weird, but business owners who have done so have reaped significant rewards.

In fact, a survey found that 78% of business owners globally are satisfied with their working arrangements with their outsourcing provider. 59% of expenditures associated with routine corporate activities have been reduced thanks to outsourcing.

Your consumers will receive the greatest care available if you outsource your live chat & phone answering support activities to DOS. In addition to saving you money and allowing you to focus on expanding other areas of your business, outsourcing improves your company’s ability to respond to consumer inquiries. The majority of businesses are open 8 to 12 hours every day throughout their local time. Some businesses might be closed on the weekends as well.

Because of these rigid hours, it may be challenging for your clients to get in touch with you at convenient times if they live elsewhere in the nation or the world. This is an area where customer service outsourcing companies excel.

If you need that kind of coverage, they can make sure agents are accessible to care for your consumers around the clock. An increase in availability can even elevate a business and boost your overall reputation, even if you decide against operating a call center around the clock.

Not to mention that people appreciate being able to contact businesses at their convenience. Meaning they will keep doing business with you and even tell their friends about your business.

We can all agree that providing excellent customer service is crucial for every company, regardless of the product it sells. Your company wouldn’t exist without your clients, therefore you should constantly make an effort to treat them fairly.

When you outsource your customer service, you save time by not having to manage or train a staff of representatives. You’ll have extra time as a result to enhance other aspects of your business.

Even if you’re doing very well, there’s always space for improvement. If you have fewer departments to manage, you have more time for activities like:

  • product improvement
  • creating fresh leads
  • networking and education
  • Increasing organization
  • putting fresh marketing tactics into practice

Additionally, outsourcing will free up those employees to return to their core responsibilities if they were employed for a different role but assist with customer support. This frequently occurs in smaller organizations, creating a backlog of unfinished work and aggravating workers.

When you contract with an agency to outsource your customer care, you work with representatives who have experience doing the specific customer service tasks you require. By doing this, you will avoid having novice agents who have just finished training to answer your phones.

Although they often have the best intentions, unskilled agents can lose you clients and even recommendations. It may ultimately harm your ability to compete with other businesses and reduce your revenue.

When outsourcing customer support calls, you should search for a reputable, long-standing business. They should offer a variety of packages and skills that you may choose from to assist your firm operate at its peak efficiency.

6) IT Support:

Without an internal IT team, it’s likely that you find it difficult to keep up with the rapidly evolving technological landscape. Additionally, if you depend on your staff to resolve IT problems, you probably won’t get the kind of service you require. This is when hiring outside IT support can save your life! You may access a team of professionals that can assist with everything from setting up new devices to resolving issues when you outsource IT assistance. Some IT outsourcing businesses even provide 24/7 support so that you may obtain assistance whenever you need it, day or night. The best thing is that recruiting an internal IT team is typically far more expensive than outsourcing IT.

Gist of The Story!

Although it is obvious that the primary goal of BPO services is to lighten the load of monotonous work that is beyond the core competencies of organizations of all sizes, this is not their only benefit:

Savings on costs: By eliminating investments in the purchase or adaption of equipment, software licensing, internal network or communications infrastructure, and employee training, process outsourcing generates obvious savings in the company’s fixed costs. In addition to enabling the services to be hired for a set period of time to handle particular projects or demands.

Saving time: is one of the most valuable resources for all organizations and people in general. In this regard, BPO services enable you to save significant time on tasks that are both vital and unproductive.

Increased productivity: By hiring organizations with extensive industry knowledge as your outsourcing partners, you free up your most precious employees to concentrate on tasks that truly bring value to your business. This results in an improvement in both productivity and company growth. Additionally, being able to operate in some places with less extensive infrastructures enables you to shift your key collaborators for strategic activities, using resources to create economies of scale that boost your profitability and marketability.

Proactivity: One of the primary benefits is that your business will be more ready to respond to a challenging circumstance or to suggest items because it will have better quality time and financial resources due to the savings that this represents. and cutting-edge services. Similar to this, BPO firms provide scalable work arrangements that enable attending peak workloads due to temporality.

Thanks to the robust tool that is Photoshop, many people around the world have used and continue to use this programme to create various montages, from something as simple as placing a photo without a background or to easily changing the color of the eyes. Additionally, you will learn how to expertly change the color of a shirt or any other object and to add your desired shade.

An Easy Method to Change the Color of Clothes in Photoshop

You cannot alter the color of an object in a shot using a single technique in Photoshop. But given that, we shall describe one of the simplest ways to get started. The actions to take are as follows:

  1. Make a selection of the item whose color you want to change first. Due to its superior outcomes, the Quick Selection tool is frequently employed.
  2. After that, you must access the adjustment panel and select the Hue/Saturation option from there. You can see the new mask that is created as a result on the adjustment layer.
  3. Now access the properties panel in order to modify the values for hue and saturation.

If throughout this process there are any mistakes or places where the color has not been applied, this can be readily fixed by using black and white paint to merely cover the mask. If the language prevents you from understanding this process, you can quickly switch to Adobe Photoshop to do so and have a greater understanding of the program’s possibilities.

Essential Steps to Modify Muted Colors of Shirt in Photoshop

In actuality, there isn’t much of a difference from the prior technique; instead, you should pay attention to how much light or lighting the color has and whether it contrasts with the background.

It makes no difference if an item of clothing or an object is a dark shade of color; as long as it can be easily differentiated from the background, the process will be fairly simple. If for some reason this is not the case, you will need to draw an outline around the object so that you may add a layer and only edit that portion of the image without changing the color of the other components.

You may want to think about taking the following actions:

  1. Locate the layer panel, click the adjustment layer with the mouse, and then choose the Levels option.
  2. Add a new levels layer to the list of layers you have now.
  3. You will use the mouse to drag the levels layer immediately beneath the Fill Color layer (we recommend giving the layers names).
  4. You can change variables like the luminance of the selected object, the temperature, and other things thanks to the standard ones that will be made editable.

This is all there is to it; how you proceed depends on your goals. Similar to this, you can obtain a lot more thorough explanation addressing the replacement of colors in objects by visiting the official Adobe website.

Get a Mastery in Duotone a Color of Clothes in Photoshop

You must keep in mind that depending on the duotone, adjusting the colors will change a little bit since you will need to experiment with the right tones to get a shot with grey tones, but with tones that are different from what you would typically get. You should also be aware that the tone curve of the current inks in duotone photos can be changed. To do this, you must first:

  1. Select the Dialog Box > Duotone choices in order to activate the preview window.
  2. You must now click on the box containing the curve that interests you. Typically, a vertical line is used to preserve this curve, but you can change it whatever you choose.
  3. You can repeat this process for each curve associated with each ink in the image.
  4. Selecting a point on the curve and dragging it towards a location that you believe will produce the desired outcomes will allow you to make changes to the curve.

Learning Vintage Monochrome Effect in Photoshop

The characteristic of photos with a retro monochromatic appearance is that they resemble images created by turning a photograph into a sketch. You must repeatedly practise the methods below until you achieve the desired effects for both old-fashioned and drawing-style photos:

  1. The first step is to open the image for editing. Next, go to the layer where you’ll be making the edits for black and white.
  2. Find the Tint option, then select it.
  3. To change the color, select the color box next to Tint.
  4. Now look for a dark yellow or a color that resembles brown.
  5. The idea is that by making this change, you can lessen the contrast in the image or photo. Continue by gradually diminishing the intensity of blacks and whites.
  6. Increase the brightness once you’ve got it. You must select the layer from the uploaded original photo to accomplish this.
  7. Press CTRL/Cmd + Left in the channels window now to advance. Toggle to RGB by clicking.
  8. Make sure you are on the original photo layer and not any additional layers by returning to the layers window.
  9. During this, hit CRTL/Cmd + J. Only the visible portions of the image will be replicated by this set of commands.
  10. The only thing you need to do is switch your default blending mode to intense light. All that’s left to do is experiment with the layer’s opacity until you find something you like or that appears to be passable.

A well-done portrait may be immensely fulfilling and reveal a lot about the subject of the picture. Loose hair, though, is the one thing that always gives me trouble. They are the hair strands that protrude from the subject’s head in your photograph. They must be removed, especially if you are shooting business or fashion shots!

You will discover how to tidy up wayward hair on portraits in this video. To learn how to use these approaches, either watch the video below featuring a professional photo editor or read the text.

Although we use Adobe Photoshop to show the techniques, they work with just about any image editor, so you should be able to follow along if you prefer Affinity Photo, Lightroom, Camera Raw, or another program.

For dealing with flyaways while preserving a natural-looking outcome, there are three major methods. It involves striking a balance between taste and need, just like with any touch-up. If you take it too far, you’ll develop “hoof hair,” which frequently appears false.

The goal of image retouching is to make the changes undetectable to the viewer. The initial accuracy of the shot contributes significantly to that, but strong technique and application also contribute to the remaining portion.

Video Guide on Removing Stray Hairs in Photoshop

It can greatly help to save time and effort later on if your subject is well-groomed or if you hire a stylist. Use these three methods for the remainder.

Technique 1: Clone Stamp Tool

photoshop clone stamp tool

In Adobe Photoshop, Clone Stamp is the apparent tool for hair removal. Show the spotless area first, then brush your hair to make it fit in with the surroundings. You will discover that this tool has flaws if you have used it before.

His greatest asset is also his worst flaw; it replicates exactly what it samples, which presents a challenge when dealing with textured backdrops or fluctuations in color or brightness. Clone Stamp is the ideal technique, nevertheless, for backdrops that are consistently lighted and colored.

By employing several Blend Modes for the brush, you can improve your clone and lessen undesirable variances. I operate in three different ways:

  • Normal
  • darken
  • light up

The Normal option generally works but can be troublesome with backgrounds that have light textures since it can be excessively demanding. My adjustments can be made very precisely by using the other two modes.

In order to correct lighter hair on a darker background, I utilize the Darken blend mode. To correct darker hair on a lighter background, I use the Lighten blend mode.

Once the hair is the same luminance and color as the sampled area, the effect is no longer there. It won’t touch the parts that already match, so even if your brush size is enormous, your repairs will only be a few pixels wide.

Technique 2: Healing Brush Tool

healing brush tool in photoshop

The Clone Stamp tool has been upgraded into the Healing Brush. copies the sampled region’s colour, brightness, and texture to the destination area. Then use maths to effortlessly combine the two elements into something that appears natural.

For cleaning blemishes, blackheads, unsightly facial or body hair, sensor dust, etc., the concealer brush is the best option. It performs better than the clone technique partly because it seamlessly integrates the sample areas with the target environment rather than making an identical copy.

For backgrounds that are a little more intricate or textured, use this tool. It can also be used to eliminate pests. The texture has been preserved by the clone buffer.

I use it to remove hair from clothing or that crosses my face so that I may keep the delicate details of the fabric or skin. Once more, you can fine-tune your retouch using the Blending Modes.

Unfortunately, Healing Brush fails to effectively heal areas that are too close to a sharp edge, such as the edge of a person’s head. You’ll get a smudged bleed that looks sloppy. The Clone Stamp Tool could be more appropriate in this situation; just change the brush hardness to reflect the transition.

  • Brush Settings

After going through two tools you can use to get rid of stray hairs, let’s look at some typical settings. For the best control and versatility, I use a Wacom tablet, but a mouse can also be used for this. Purchase a graphics tablet if you are retouching images without a Wacom. They begin at about $80 (USD) and are durable. I have a six years old one.

  • Clone Buffer

I typically use a circle at 100% Opacity as the default option. I can change the brush’s hardness, but it hardly never exceeds 80%. In fact, I use this brush in increments of 0%, 20%, 50%, and 80% because I’ve discovered that it meets the majority of my demands.

Sometimes I’ll use a different hardness setting, but I’ll decide which one to use based on the situation. With the pen tablet, I may modify the hardness setting more due to pen pressure.

As I already stated, I employ several Blending Modes as necessary. Very good cloning and a more efficient workflow are the results of properly matching these many variables to your circumstances.

  • Concealer Brush

You would likely hear a lot of advice to use a soft-edged brush. I’ll advise you to take the exact opposite action. Always keep the hardness at 100%. Additionally, alter your brush’s roundness (shape) to a little ellipse between 20 and 30%. Depending on my demands, I also tilt it and shift the orientation.

By requiring the Healing Brush to resample more frequently and randomly than a soft-edged circle, these parameters make it operate better. You don’t actually need a soft brush because the Healing Brush automatically applies the blend.

The results have been quite natural-looking, and the earlier-mentioned risk of fuzzy edges has been significantly decreased.

Finally, use a brush that is just a little bit bigger than the region you wish to repair, especially if there is loose hair close to someone’s head’s edge or if the background’s colour or brightness varies significantly.

Technique 3: Surface Blur

surfur blur

Although this method is largely independent of the other two, it does so for optimal effectiveness. With just one filter effect and some simple masking, you can quickly get rid of practically all stray hair.

Surface Blur, in contrast to Gaussian Blur and the other blurs, does not blur edges over the threshold value. When there is a noticeable change in hue and/or contrast, Surface Blur classifies that as an “edge”. Skin, clothing, and other little features will be smoothed out, but the edge of a person’s face or other details won’t be.

When you have a gradient background, Surface Blur works well to tidy up the edge of a hair where the Clone Stamp would struggle. It will be effective at maintaining gradations in tonality and sharp edges. When you have an image with a graded background, try it out.

Let’s go over how to remove hair from your photographs using Surface Blur.

Step 1 – Create a New Layer

To work without destroying the layer, drag it to the ” Create New Layer” icon (Cmd + J or Ctrl + J). To update the parameters without having to start over with the filter, you can convert this new layer to a Smart Object (Layer > Smart Objects > Convert to Smart Object). It’s not required to convert to a smart object.

Step 2 – Apply Surface Blur

To use it, select Filter > Blur > Surface Blur. A preview of the effect in its current parameters will be displayed.

Radius and Threshold are the two settings on the Surface Blur filter. The blur’s strength or quantity is determined by the Radius. The limits for what the filter deems an “edge” is set by the threshold.

You’ll get a halo if you use the Radius too low or the Threshold too high. The sliders will need to be adjusted such that the main body of the hair and the sharp edges disappear due to blur, but the loose hair remains visible.

This will require some trial and error and vary from image to image. But I’ve discovered that a Radius of 40 pixels and a Threshold of 20 pixels produce fantastic results for me.

Apply the settings once you’ve gotten them reasonably close, then assess the outcomes. The majority or all of the lone hairs should be gone.

Step 3 – Cleaning the clone stamp

Surface Blur can be effective in some situations, but you’ll usually have to deal with a few stragglers. Clone Buffer those that escape by sampling extremely near the target area with a soft edge brush to prevent observable color differences. I try to maintain my brush hardness at or below 50%.

Avoid leaving your hairline too clean because that will make it appear unnatural. If you think your image may use a bit more overall polish, you can run Surface Blur again on lesser settings.

Step 4 – Create a Layer Mask

It’s time to simply use the effect on the outer hairline at this point. By selecting the “Create Layer Mask” button, you may add a layer mask to your layer that uses the Surface Blur. Using Cmd + I (Mac) or Ctrl + I, change the mask’s colour from white (visible) to black (invisible) (PC). This will mask the outcome.

In order to show the effect, paint the mask with white over the parts you want to erase using a hard-edged brush (approximately 80%). Because Surface Blur should preserve the edge of the main body of the hair, you don’t need to be particularly accurate.

Step 5 – Add Noise

In most cases, surface blur eliminates all noise(grain) from an image. Because it is overly smooth, this lack of roughness can destroy the effect. We must introduce noise in a dose that is consistent with the rest of the image.

By clicking on the layer’s thumbnail, make sure you’re working with the image of the Surface Blur layer and not the mask. Click on Filter > Noise > Add Noise.

On the Gaussian and Monochrome options in the Add Noise dialogue box. When the noise pattern and density are consistent with the rest of the image, adjust the slider. Even though it’s not quite essential, this tiny detail does a great job of camouflaging the changes you’ve done.

Conclusion

Sometimes having a stunning photograph can make loose hair incredibly unpleasant. Cloning and healing have several advantages but also some drawbacks. They can be used in conjunction with the Surface Blur technique to enhance retouching outcomes while also speeding up and simplifying either process when used separately.

After some practice, you should be able to swiftly assess an image and determine which of these procedures will remove loose hair the best. Never forgot to say thanks to Photos Editing Services experts for this helpful post.

Surely more than once you have seen some of your portrait photographs and you have thought that the background takes away the prominence of your model. It is true that if we play with the depth of field can blur it, but it is not always that easy. Many times, especially in wide frames, it is not possible to blur background in photoshop as much as we would like. On other occasions, to take certain photos we may need to have a very expensive lens that we cannot afford, with a longer focal length or a larger diaphragm opening.

However, with Photoshop we can quickly and easily blur the background of our photos. And as always, you will not need to have advanced knowledge of the program, because I am from photo editing services going to explain it to you step by step in text and video.

Why can’t I blur my background?

As I was telling you, it is not always easy to play with the depth of field to blur our background. It is not that we do not know how to do it, or that we have made a mistake when choosing the parameters in our camera. Sometimes it is simply impossible to blur background in photoshop as much as we would like because the parameters we want to use for our photography do not allow it. changing sky can also help to make picture look better before blurring it.

On other occasions, we may need to have fixed focal lengths that allow very large apertures, or very bright telephoto lenses with very long focal lengths. These lenses are excessively expensive and we may not be able to afford them right now.

In the following photo, we have a clear example of this problem, which I am sure that all of you will have come across more than once. Its parameters are the following:

  • 35mm focal length: Photograph shot with a fixed focal length lens, which is brighter.
  • f/2.5 aperture: The lens was capable of opening up to f/1.8 but I didn’t want to risk taking my model out of focus as it’s a wide-open plane. Still, f/1.8 wouldn’t have blurred the background much more, so it would still have been insufficient.
  • Shutter speed at 1/500 sec.:To be able to freeze the movement of hair and dress
  • ISO 100: I did not need to raise the ISO to expose correctly because the day was very sunny.

To get my model out of focus under these conditions, I could have done it in two different ways, both of which were unworkable:

get closer to her, thus reducing the focal length and making the depth of field smaller. However, I wanted to take an entire shot, to capture the entire trunk, and the dog, and to show the dress in its entirety.

Zoom out a lot and use a bright telephoto lens to be able to blur the background like that. However, I do not have such a lens.

Due to these inconveniences, many times we find ourselves with portrait photographs that we do not quite like because the attention does not fall completely on our model due to that background that steals the limelight. That is why for these occasions we can simulate this blurred background effect thanks to editing programs such as Photoshop. A professional photo editor will explain how to blur background in photoshop step by step.

before background blur in photoshop tips

Background Blur in Photoshop Step by Step

1. Retouch the Photo as You Like

Normally the blurring of the background is going to be the endpoint for our photography, so it is recommended that before starting the process you make sure that the entire photograph is retouched to your liking. It is not that it cannot be retouched later, but since we are going to separate the photograph into layers, it may be more cumbersome to proceed to retouch it later.

So, my advice is to first leave the photography to your liking, especially when it comes to retouching in general. In the end, you will be able to give it the final touch in matters of light, color, eye color change and other adjustments or effects that you want to add.

For this example, I’ll use this photo from the same session as the one we’ve seen before. In this photo, we ran into the same problem: by using such a wide frame, we weren’t able to blur the background as much as we wanted.

2. Select the Subject

Next, we are going to start with our background blur. The first thing we are going to have to do is separate our subject from the background so that the blur does not affect him too.

The first thing we will do is duplicate the layer from the Layer/Duplicate Layer menu or with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+J (or Cmd+J on Mac). This way we will be able to have in this new layer separate the subject of our photograph.

There are plenty of selection tools that you can use to cut out your model from the background. Specifically, I have used the Quick Selection, which is a very useful selection, especially when the person and the background are clearly differentiated. If you are not familiar with selection tools, you can consult one of the following articles:

So, on this new layer we’ve created, select the way that works best for your subject. If it is more comfortable for you, instead of selecting the subject you can select the entire background, when it comes to separating them it will not matter.

Then create a mask to cut it out from the menu Layer/Layer Mask/Hide Selection if what you have selected is the background, or Reveal Selection if what you have selected is the subject. You can also use the quick icon in the layers window to reveal only the selected part and hide everything else, or if you press it while also holding down the Alt key, what you will do is hide only the selected part and show the rest.

3. Fill in the Subject Gap

Now that we have separated our subject from the background, we will have to blur that background. However, even though we have separated the model into another layer, it is also still in our background layer. If we blurred the background layer, we would see that the model is also blurred, creating a strange halo around it that will be excessively noticeable.

How can we avoid this halo around our model? We are going to have to fill in the background so that our model disappears from it. To do this, select your model again. Don’t worry, you won’t have to do it again. just pressingCtrl+click (or Cmd+click on Mac) on the layer mask that we have created before, we will select it again.

Now we will fill that area with an automatic tool provided by Photoshop. However, it does not usually work correctly with selections that are too tight, so to make a looser selection we will go to the Selection/Modify/Expand menu and give it a few pixels, depending on the size of the photo. I have given it a 20px expansion.

Next, we will go to the Edit / Fill menu or we can also use the keyboard shortcut Shift + F5. Make sure you have the background layer selected. A window will open and in it we must select the drop-down menu-content drop-down menu: According to content. What this will do is fill the selected area taking what is around it as a reference. Normally it works well in small areas, but in such a large area it will probably leave us with a rather ugly background.

However, it will not matter to us, because we remember that we are going to put the layer where we have our cutout model on top. The only thing we achieve with this is that by blurring background in photoshop, that was created by blurring the model is not created because it will no longer be there.

4. Blur the Background

Now yes, the time has come to blur our background. Personally, to simulate a small depth of field, I really like the blur that we find in the menu Filter / Gallery of effects Blur / Tilt Shift, because it makes a gradual blur. Before applying the filter make sure you have the background layer selected.

In the window that will open we can place the circle in the area where the feet of our model will be, so that point appears fully focused and the background blurs from there, both in front and behind. By touching the slider that appears around that circle you can make the blur more or less accentuated. You can also move the lines above and below to decide the area in focus and to make the blur more or less gradual.

In the options on the right, you will also find a slider to create a bokeh that is usually very nice and realistic, especially if there are areas of highlights in the background.

Finally, when you have your background blur ready, click the OK option that appears at the top of the window and you will have your background with a small depth of field. The more accentuated this blur is, the more noticeable the retouching will be, but this is already a matter of taste. Maybe we want to give it a realistic look, or maybe we prefer to give it a more fantastical touch. It’s all a matter of trying until you find the blur that best suits what you’re looking for.

5. Adjust the Final Photo

As I told you at the beginning, now that we have the photo retouched, we can give it a final touch in terms of color correction settings… This is already completely to your liking, there are no parameters to follow.

The Camera Raw Filter can come in handy to adjust the photo to your liking. If you are not sure how it works, I recommend that you take a look at our article ” Adobe Camera RAW (ACR): The Complete Guide “.

Selections are one of the most powerful tools in Photoshop. However, not all of them are easy to get. One of the biggest problems we encounter when making a selection is hair. Selecting and changing hair and making it natural is not an easy task , and with common selection tools we will not usually get it to look good.

But do not worry! Photoshop has an advanced interface to enhance the edges of the selection and help you cut out things as complicated as hair. This interface is currently called Select and apply mask , and in previous versions we will find it as Refine Edge .

Do you want to discover how it works? I’ll Guide you in Detail Below with step by step Pictures and Video. Or want to hire photo editor to do it for you?

What is a Selection?

We have already spoken on more than one occasion about selections. The selections allow us to delimit a single part of our photograph to act only on it, or to cut out that specific area and paste it elsewhere. Thanks to Photoshop selections and masks we can create impressive and totally realistic montages .

If you are not familiar with its basics, I recommend that you first read these articles, which will teach you step by step what selections and masks are, and how to use them correctly.

How to Select Hair in Photoshop?

As you may have already noticed if you have ever tried it, selecting hair perfectly in Photoshop is not an easy task. With the usual selections you will notice that the cut in the hair is too geometric, with edges, giving it a very artificial appearance . And if you try to soften that cut, that diffuse aura around you is even worse. Both one thing and the other is very unrealistic. How do we do it then?

You will see it step by step with this example. We have chosen a photo with complicated hair to make the selection more expensive . Our goal will be to cut out the model from that blank background to place it on a darker background and simulate that it is on a stage. You could also use this selection to apply effects or color adjustments only on it or only on the hair itself.

Curly or windy hair are more difficult to select correctly

1. Make a Short Selection:

First of all, you must make a normal selection, with the selection tool that best suits you in each case. Don’t worry if the selection in the hair isn’t rushed, just select the rest of your subject correctly and forget about how the hair is being selected.

2. Use Select and Apply Mask:

Now comes the moment of truth. Photoshop has a special interface to improve selections and it is our best option if we want to select hair accurately. We will find this interface in a button located in the upper menu of any selection, or from the Selection Menu/Select and apply mask . In versions prior to Photoshop CC 2015.5, instead of being called that you will find it as Refine Edge . Even so, I recommend that you use the latest version, since they have been improving this tool in each new instalment of the program.

When we enter the Select and Apply Mask interface we will see that our selection is marked in red. We can choose different display modes from the View dropdown , to configure the display of the selection/mask to our liking.

In the latest versions of Photoshop we can easily add and subtract selection from this interface without having to go out to Photoshop. However, in earlier versions you will need to exit to Photoshop if you want to make any substantive changes to your selection.

The star tool to be able to select the hair correctly is the Brush to refine edges . You will find it in the side menu, second. It is a very easy to use tool. You simply have to paint as if it were a brush, the edge where you had problems with the selection.

Select & Change Hair Color in PhotoShop(Video Tutorial)

Best Way to Select Hair Perfectly in Photoshop:

In this case, I have painted the entire edge of the hair and the lace parts that protrude below. Photoshop will recalculate that selection to fit it as well as possible. This option may not work well if the hair and background are very similar in color . However, if they are clearly differentiated, it will not usually give you any problems.

It is recommended that you use a small brush to recalculate just the border of the selection, as this tool tends to leave the border semi-transparent to improve its integration . If you use a brush that is too thick, it may leave a large area semi-transparent, such as part of the head, and it will not look good.

This is how our selection has turned out after recalculating it with the Brush tool to refine edges

If you notice that an area has not been selected correctly, or that, as I mentioned, some part has become semi-transparent, in the toolbar on the left you will find different selection tools that will help you to speed up the selection as much as possible . You will find the quick selection, the lasso and a brush/eraser to paint the selection by hand. In the menu on the right you will also find several sliders to modify the selection and adjust it to your liking. You can add feathering, feathering, expanding or contracting its border, etc.

Finally, a very interesting option that you should check before accepting your selection is Decontaminate colors , which you can find at the bottom right, in the output settings. This option will automatically paint the borders of your selection with the surrounding color , to alleviate auras and background color contaminations on your selection.

On the left, the hair cut without decontaminating the colors. On the right, with the option Decontaminate colors checked.

When you have your selection ready, export it simply by pressing OK. You can export it in multiple ways, which you can configure in the Output Settings menu (bottom right): as a selection, as a mask on the current layer, as a new layer with mask, and even as a new file. I personally like to export it as a new layer with a mask, to be able to modify it to my liking in the next step.

3. Improve the Mask in Photoshop:

With the previous step it is possible that your hair has been perfectly selected. If this is the case, congratulations! However, we have chosen a complicated photo, to show what to do when our hair is not perfectly selected. Curly hair or hair in the wind, as is the case, are much more difficult to select and that is why they need a little extra help, this time manually. As usual, the automatic processes work well when the photo is easy, but you have to give them a hand when things get complicated .

In this case there are some areas where the mask has been slightly blurred by the blurring that those areas of the hair have suffered due to movement. To correct it and make it more natural, you can use the Brush tool in black on the mask itself, to erase them. To make it look natural, you must use a very fine brush and directly paint small black hairs on the mask to erase the areas that have not been well selected, simulating the shape of the hair itself.

You can paint over the photo itself or you can enlarge the mask to see where it’s working the worst. To see the mask enlarged, Alt+Click on it in the Layers window . Then, when you’re done retouching, tap your photo’s layer again to see it normally again.

If we press Alt+Click on the mask we can open it large to improve it more precisely.

4. Rushing to the Max: Create New Hair

In the previous step we have erased certain parts of our mask simulating the shape of the hair with a very fine brush. If you want to rush as much as possible, you can now do the opposite: create new hairs. Many times in the selection some hairs are lost that give realism to the photograph. If your hair has been too uniform or if an area has not been particularly good, you can hide it by painting hairs on top .

Simply create a new empty layer and with a very fine brush take samples from different areas of the hair and draw little hairs following the shape of the other real hairs. Its edges may be too hard and stand out more than the real hair. If this happens, when you finish drawing all the hairs add a slight Gaussian Blur to that layer to give the new hairs the same hardness as the real hairs .

By painting some extra hairs we will be able to give it the touch of realism that it lacked

Now to Practice!

Each photograph is a world, but with this example I am sure that you will know how to solve any problem that may arise in the most complicated selections. And like everything else, the key is to practice a lot to learn and get comfortable with the impressive tools that Photoshop offers us.

In this Photoshop tutorial, our photo editor will show you the easiest way to remove and remove acne blemishes and other blemishes in Photoshop. Many times you have portraits or passport photos that must be retouched to have a clearer and cleaner face, without pimples, wrinkles and more.

What is Blemishes Skin:

A little intro of what is Skin Blemishes or imperfections, it refer to the elements that alter the natural appearance and health of the skin. These irregularities originate from very diverse causes. In addition, they can be presented separately or together.

The most common Blemishes or skin imperfections are acne, blackheads and blemishes:

#Acne
It is a skin condition that is usually related to the hormonal variation that we suffer naturally. For this reason, in most cases it occurs during adolescence. Stress, the consumption of some drugs and the use of cosmetics with a high oil content are other factors that can cause this condition.

#Black Spots
Blackheads are a type of skin blemishes that appear when the sebaceous glands increase their natural oil production. This produces excess sebum that clogs the pores.

#Stains
The spots correspond to hyperpigmentation of the skin. The most frequent spots are those caused by solar lentigines -due to exposure to ultraviolet rays-, melasma – due to hormonal changes during pregnancy- and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation -generated as a result of the healing of an injury.

Lets discuss about How to Remove Blemishes in Photoshop now:

Step 1: We select the image:

We open the image we want to retouch in Photoshop. If you want to practice, I recommend you find an image on one of these free image sites like unsplash, pexels, stocksnap, stockSnap.io
or you can use this one used in this tutorial:

skin with blemishes and spots

The first thing we will do is duplicate the layer of our image with Layer > Duplicate Layer > Ok . So we’ll be working with the top layer so we always know what we’re removing by looking at the bottom layer.

Step 2: Spot Healing Brush Tool to Remove Acne:

Now, we need to select the Spot Healing Brush tool. This is the tool that will allow us to remove and eliminate any punctual imperfection / Blemishes in our images.

Now, depending on the size of our image, we are going to select the size of our correction brush in the upper bar. In this case, a size of 9 is being used because it is accurate to the size of the grains.

Photoshop Tool to remove acne pimples and blemishes from the face with Photoshop Also, you have 3 options to choose the type of correction: Proximity Blending, Texture Creation, Content-aware. The easiest way to correct is with Content-Aware, because Photoshop takes into account the surrounding content in order to correct.

select spot healing brush in photoshop

Then we will be giving small clicks on the acne pimples in the image to be able to correct them. The best thing is that we zoom in on the image to do it with greater precision. You can also click and drag the brush to correct larger wrinkles or imperfections.

Step 3: Imperfections, grains on the edges:

There may be types of blemishes or pimples that require the brush to be even smaller. You can change the size of the brush in the following window that is accessed from the top bar of the tool. Furthermore, you can change the shape of the brush with the two points shown in the following image . This is perfect for correcting acne pimples in areas near lines or edges.

Final result: Face without Blemishes / Imperfections:

You should keep using the acne removal tool, and you can get a face without acne marks, as shown below:

Follow the following guidelines on how to edit wedding photo and your pictures will become faultless.

1) Making it Bright

Make photo Bright

Due to the multiple number of lights (the tungsten lamps, chandeliers, sunlight, blue hues of the sky) in the wedding venue, the photos can turn out too dark. So, you first need to make it bright and the wedding photo retouching has just the thing for it.

    • Firstly, make a copy layer. Press “Ctrl+J” and drag and drop. Select this copy layer to work upon; never work upon the original. For convenience, name your layers. This layer, for instance, can be named ‘Brightness’.
    • Go to “Adjustment Layer – Curves” and select the “Hand” tool. Click and drag it on the skin until the picture becomes appropriately bright. On the bottom-right side of the histogram, if there is empty space left, drag the slider left; this ensures that you are not losing details. Hold “Alt/Option” key on the keyboard and drag the slider – by going too much to the left, you will end up losing details so don’t go too much to the left and keep the slider at the appropriate point. Then adjust the curve if you have to. With this, you have a bright base on which you can officially start your wedding photo editing.

2. Blemishes:

Blemishes (Photo editing)

An essential component of wedding photo retouching is the removal of blemishes and spots. The fixing of lightning, color and skin tones will come after it as they require more duplicate layers to work upon and you don’t want the blemishes following them.

  • Make another duplicate layer using “Ctrl+J” and drag and drop. Name it, for example, ‘Blemishes’.
  • Zoom in in order to see the blotches clearly. Select the “Magnifying Glass” and make the “Scrubby Zoom: 100%”, and you will be zoomed in 100%. Zooming in is especially important in wedding photo editing to remove all spots.
  • Go to “Adjustment Layer – Black and White”. In it, reduce the amount of “Red” color by dragging the slider of the “Red” color to the right – through this, the blemishes and acne stand out. Then you can increase the “Yellow” color a bit to increase the brightness.
  • The tools used in wedding photo retouching to remove blemishes are:
    • “Regular Healing Brush” tool: make sure the “Sample: Current and Below” is selected and use a large or small brush according to your requirement. Hold the “Alt” button and right mouse button, drag it to right to make it bigger and left to make it smaller. Hold the “Alt/Option” key, click to take a sample and remove blemishes.
    •  “Patch” tool (it is faster): make sure that the “Patch: Normal” is selected. Select one blemish by drawing a circle around it, press and hold the “shift” key on your keyboard – the cursor changes to a plus sign – and select more blemishes with the “shift” key still held. Then, let go of the “shift” key, drag the blemishes a little left or right towards where you want to sample it to. Let go and the blemishes would have been cleared.
  • Group these two layers together through “Ctrl+G” (excluding the “Background” layer).
  • You can always do it yourself or can hire a professional wedding photo editor for faster results

3) Color and Skin Tone Correction:

Color and Skin Tone Correction

PESs Wedding photo retouching entails the color and skin tone correction through the adjustment of the red, green and blue colors.

  • Make another duplicate layer using “Ctrl+J”.
  • Go to “Adjustment Layer – Curves”. There are three eye-dropper tools which are black, gray and white color points respectively. Select, for illustration, the gray color point and click on the area in the image where there is the same gray color as the color point, like (black) hair which is appearing gray. That hair color will be automatically adjusted i.e. become black. Press Ctrl+Z and click on all areas of the image where color needs to be adjusted and the color of all those areas will also be corrected. 90% of the color is corrected through this aspect of wedding photo editing. If you want to adjust individual colors (red, blue, green), select that color in “Channel” and adjust color accordingly by moving the curve. Once done, hit “OK”.
  • Then, go to the “Channels” icon (beside the “Layers” icon), hold down “Cmd/Option” button on the keyboard and click “RGB”. It will select the bright and highlight part of the image. Following that, go back to the “Layers” panel and select “Adjustment Layer – Levels”. Drag the “Highlight” slider to the left until desired brightness is obtained. It has brightened the skin tone without affecting the rest of the image.
  • Next comes the “Adjustment Layer – Hues/Saturation”. Slide the sliders of “Hue”, “Saturation” and “Lightness” accordingly. On “Edit”, select any color you want to individually adjust and do it accordingly.
  • Then, “Adjustment Layer – Color balance”. If you want to add a bit of color (yellow, orange – natural colors of the skin) to give the skin tone a natural look (after the aforementioned wedding photo retouching steps, the skin tone tends to become an unnatural white), adjust the sliders of “cyan-red”, “magenta-green”, “yellow-blue” according to the required “color level”.
  • Select “Adjustment Layer – Vibrance” to make the colors more vibrant. Adjust the “Vibrance” and “Saturation” (intensifies color) sliders accordingly.
  • Through “Adjustment Layer – Brightness/Contrast”, adjust the brightness and contrast accordingly.
  • To give an overall vibrant look (if you feel lacking), go again to “Adjustment Layer – Curves”. Adjust the curve by increasing or decreasing the highlights, shadows, blacks, whites accordingly.
  • Lastly, group all the layers created through wedding photo editing together through “Ctrl+G” and rename the layer, e.g. ‘Edited’, to differentiate between the edited and original one.

Once done with the wedding photo retouching, compare with the original picture and the results will definitely satisfy you. iI you find this “how to edit wedding photo” article helpful kindly comment and let us know

A lot of different touch-ups need to be made depending on the person in an image. For example, some photos may need object removed while others will need eyes adjusted. If you care about your work and want to pursue a career in design, graphics, photo editing, don’t miss the opportunity to learn photography. We’ll share some helpful photoshop tips and keep showing you how it’s done!

Making adjustments to the camera like adjusting the Dimensions, Exposure time and ISO value is important for capturing what you want. When you view these photos on your computer, they might not be exactly how you want them. For example, maybe you’re not happy with how the photo turned out due to a technicality or don’t like the way your eyebrows look in the photo. If the gaze is the mirror of your soul, you want these photos to come out in the best possible way..

Changing the eye color in a photo can be due to several factors, such as highlighting small details of a person’s iris or changing the color completely. The changes can be made to have artistic effects like making a white or orange eye point towards some kind of supernatural being lurking in the photo.

Our expert photo editor is going to show you a very simple technique to change the color of the eyes of a photograph using Adobe Photoshop.

Video Tutorial:

Change Color of Eyes in Photoshop:
